JANUARY 01, 2009

January 01, 2009 is the FIESTA day in Pinaod, San Ildefonso, Bulacan. Our family was assigned to be the sponsor of this yearly activities. My brother Joji was tasked to be the President of the Fiesta Committee. There were various activities for the last few days until January 01 which is the Feast day. My Ate Virgie gave one beautiful fireworks(the one I posted:WELCOME/HELLO 2009) and a lot of people were really happy watching it last night. There was an occassional rain shower and the weather was quite windy. It was so hard to start the fireworks because of this. Thousands of people gathered in the plaza where all activities were held. After the fireworks, a variety program was rendered composed of musical and comedy show, magic exhibition and appearance of some local stars from the Philippines. The show lasted until early morning of Jan. 02, 2009. We shuttled from Manila to Bulacan to Manila almost everyday because my Mom is staying in Manila due to her hospitalization and we did not bring her home to Bulacan for her complete and speedy recovery. The day was filled with so much fun. Cousins Vicky, Janeth, Taufer, Monching and some of their nephews/nieces were with us too. A day before the Fiesta, there were four bands that paraded in the whole area. And they made musical show in the evening. We have a lot of guests and different people went to our house to take their meals. It was an open-house preparation for everybody. We stayed in Pinaod until almost midnight and went back to Manila. A very very tiring day but we were all very happy to see that things went well. We made a lot of our townmates happy.
