MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Today is my birthday...February 24, 2009. I celebrated this in a very simple way. No funfare whatsoever. I started the day with my regular morning visit to an Adoration Chapel before going to my office...have lunch alone...played billard for an hour and went to my favorite charity house by 4:00pm to bring few boxes of powdered milk and noodles to feed the old...abondoned...and sick senior citizens. I found this Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa in 1993. It is run by nuns. I brought an old man whom I called Lolo Floro last March of 2008. I found him staying and sleeping along Roxas Blvd near Baclaran church. I thought he was dead then. But unfotunately, he passed away a month after. Sister Margaret informed me and I paid my last respect for him before he was laid to rest the following day.

After I turned over my gifts...I asked Mother Superior if I could possible join the nuns who were praying at the prayer room. The place is so quiet...that you could feel inner peace. I experienced a different happiness today. My friends and relatives were offering me treat/s but I politely declined. Instead, I asked them to simply give me cash so I can buy some items the charity house needs. I thanked them for their kindness and generosity. I left after an hour to go to our Parish Church where I will serve as a lector during the 6:30pm mass.

This year...I don't have special food for my birthday but I feel spiritually full as the day ends because I know... today, I live as heaven is on earth.

MY NIECE's BIRTHDAY

It is also Joan's birthday today, February 22, 2009. She is my niece, a daughter of my oldest brother Kuya Ante. She was named Juanita by my brother-in-law (Juanito/Kuyang Juaning) because they have the same date of birth. She left for Dubai last September 2008 and she is presently working there. Hopefully, she will come home this Christmas. Happy birthday Joan!!!

MY BROTHER-IN-LAW's BIRTHDAY

Today, February 22, 2009, is my brother-in-law's birthday. I call him Kuyang Juaning. He is the husband of my Ate Virgie and the father of Marlon, Minette and Marvin. I think, he turned 62 years old today. We prepared a simple party for him. I cooked tiger prawns and pansit. Roasted pig(lechon) and other menus were also cooked here in Manila. Relatives of Kuyang Juaning arrived to have lunch with the celebrant. Marlon has just bought a beautiful sound system and he used it during the simple celebration. His sons and other kids were enjoying the Karaoke sing-along. I wish my brother- in-law good health and a longer life to enjoy all the blessings he received from GOD. And may he continue to take the paths where He wants him to be...

GENI

Finally, I started updating my GENI family tree. I deliberately kept this untouched from the very start because I knew I will need to focus on this. Truly, I can't finish everything in one sitting hahahaha. It seems uploading/updating of informations about myself and my immediate family will never end...I am just wondering why the location of my sister Malou and my brother Lorenzo, Jr.(JUN) was in USA after I put them on the map. I need to find why. But they are so lucky because they are now in US hehehehe...I have to crop more pictures of my brothers/sisters from my file. Good thing I have plenty of family pictures which I scanned and used in my video-making.

Honestly, updating GENI is both very taxing and enjoying as well. I am starting to have a view how big RAMOS FAMILY is. And it is getting bigger day by day. I have been so busy for almost two months now and these were all related to my work, family affairs and church activities. Hopefully, I can catch up updating info's for my GENI.

Ayza, my niece, sent us some of her latest pictures in London. At last, she's experiencing and enjoying snow hahahaha...

TITA MARCELA'S BIRTHDAY-January 31, 2009

TITA MARCELA'S BIRTHDAY LUNCH IN PINAOD

We went home to Pinaod, San Ildefonso, Bulacan today to celebrate the birthday of Tita Marcela who passed away last May. 2008. We had lunch with her children Vicky, Janeth, Taufer and Monching. Tita Marcela's grandchildren were there too. Ate Virgie, Ditseng Ledgie, Malou, my cousin Gil and his wife, Marlon and his children, Minette and her son were all with me. We were all happy having lunch together. I am sure that Tita Marcela is having a big and happier birthday party with the LORD this time.
