BIRTHDAY SONG FROM THE KIDS

MAY 31, 2009...HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN!!!

MAY 31, 2008...A YEAR AGO

Exactly a year ago, we celebrated the birthday of my brother Boy Ramos, Uncle Lito and Tita Angela...here in the Philippines. It was an experience of a lifetime when Ramos Family gathered together not only to celebrate the party but also to know our roots and meet new members of the family. Our relatives from USA went home to the Philippines for this occassion and this was something we won't forget. As I looked at the pictures...it reminded me of how happy everyone was...how laughter filled the air...and how we all made memories that will link us to the future. Today, I want to remember the birthday of the three celebrants. I wish them good health, more peace...more blessings and most important, a life of FAITH. May they be blessed with wisdom and happy life with their respective families.
Uncle Lito is almost a father to me. I shared with him many things about my life...my pains...including my frustrations. He is always there for me. I owe him a LOT!!! Despite our distance, he never forgets to share his love and blessings to all of us here in the Philippines. He has touched so many lives...shared countless gifts of life with those who have less. His children are so fortunate to have a father like him. My Tita Mari-lou once said to me that she has a perfect husband and I BELIEVED HER. As he turns 71 today, everyday that comes is blessing...a gift. I wish him the best of life...the best of everything. One day, I want to visit him in USA to personally say "THANK YOU" to him. I wish it will be soon...GOD's willing!!!

TITA MARCELA'S FIRST DEATH ANNIVERSARY

TITA MARCELA'S FIRST DEATH ANNIVERSARY

TITA MARCELA'S FIRST DEATH ANNIVERSARY

Last May 23, 2009, we celebrated the first death anniversary of Tita Marcela. A year of mourning is over. Her family offered a special mass for her at the cemetery where a buffet lunch was also served to all relatives and friends who attended the affair. Tita Marcela might have been away from us and she must be enjoying her presence in heaven but she is always remembered by those she left behind.
Letting go of someone we dearly love is one of the hardest things to do...but acceptance heals the pain...it brings new hope that someday...somewhere, we will all meet those we once loved and lost. May our Tita Marcela, who sees us from a distance, help us find the true meaning of our journey.
