With Marielle here during the party last night.
And with Jared, son of my niece Minet. This was the same place where we celebrated TJ's birthday party last June 07, 2008.

MARIELLE'S AND JARED'S SMALL PARTY

We had a small birthday party for Marielle and Jared last night. Guests were purely family members. I cooked and prepared some food menu for the affair. My vegetable salad tasted so good with hundred islands dressing. We had one lechon(roasted pig). It was a very simple and yet, a happy occassion. We have already planned for the Christmas eve diner. We all decided to celebrate it here in Manila because my Mommy's condition.
Christmas is fast approaching and weather is getting cold now.(Of course, we don't have snow hahahaha)
Christmas celebration in the Philippines is totally different. We started celebrating this even months before December. Christmas lights are now everywhere...as if there's no crisis hehehe. But come to think of it, this could be a better way to forget problems for a while.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Today is the birthday of MARIELLE, daughter of my nephew Marvin and his wife Cindy...and JARED, son of my niece Minet and his husband Roy. We will have a simple birthday party this week-end for both of them. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIELLE and JARED!!!

MY MOM IS BACK HOME

My Mom has been discharged from the hospital today. She lost weight because she was not eating well for a week. She was telling me that she feels weak. Maybe because of the medicines she was taking during her hospitalization. We have also noticed that she was experiencing some memory gap. Her mobility is very limited now. We all pray that her recovery will be fast. To those who prayed for my Mom...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

MY MOM's SECOND DAY IN THE HOSPITAL

My Mommy was transferred to another room today. It's a better room than the first one. Uncle Lito, Tita Mari-lou and Tita Angela called Ate Virgie this morning to know the condition of my Mom. We were really touched by their love and concern for my mother. We appreciated it very much. My Mom is getting better now. She was diagnosed to have chicken pox. Her Opthalmologist said that her eyes are doing well. She might be given an order for discharge tomorrow or on Sunday. But she needs to take anti-biotics for a week. My sister Malou and our house helper are staying with my Mom in the hospital to attend to her needs.

MY MOMMY AT THE HOSPITAL

My Mommy was rushed to the hospital late this evening because her left eye was swollen. My niece Jovy who is a doctor, advised to have her confined to avoid possible spreading of infections to her head. She went home to Bulacan yesterday to fix some documents related to her pension. I was told by my sister Malou that my Mom personally removed some warts from her face(near her left eye). She was accompanied by my two sisters-in-law(Jasmin and Violeta), Malou and Jovy. We just waited for their arrival at the hospital in Manila. She was immediately brought to the emergency for initial check-up. We almost quarrelled with the attending doctor coz he was insisting that my Mom should be handled by an Opthalmologist. I told him not to concentrate on her eye but on the swollen part of her face...GRRRRR!!! We told him that my Mom was not eating since yesterday and we wanted her confined to make sure that she'll be alright at the soonest possible time.
I processed her admission and we were given a room but at the last minute, we were told that she will be assigned to another room instead. Another GRRRRR.... Finally, she's now at room #516 of Chinese General Hospital. Series of test will be done few hours from now.(It's almost 2:00am here, Manila time). My sisters Malou and Ledgie, my brother Jun, and my nephews Marvin and Marlon were all there in the hospital to assist us. The children of my Ate Virgie love their LOLA so much...
It was a stressful evening for me...but I am sure things will be alright. I trust HIM!!!
To all my relatives there namely, Trinity, Myra and Christian...THANK YOU so much for your concerns and prayers for my Mommy. I will keep you all updated.

WORKING EVERYDAY...

It's always a busy day for me in my office... doing a lot of marketing...attending to client calls...meetings and managing my officers and staff in our office operations. My work is tough...responsibilities are too big and very stressfull grrrrrr... but I have to be at my best at all times. Afterall, that's exactly the reason why I am paid for...hahahaha.

SERVING GOD...

I am so happy to share with you my experience serving in our Parish Church near my house in Manila. I am officially doing lector and commentatorship during regular mass (week-days/Sundays) after two months of training. The experience is something new. It opens the door for me to know HIM better, accepting HIM in my life and submitting everything to HIM. A month ago, I invited my family to attend mass without them knowing that I will be formally presented to the people as part of the Lector-Commentator Ministry.
At times, GOD tests our spirit...invites our soul for something that will bring good things to those who respond to it. It pays to know HIM...embracing HIM and accepting HIM to my life make a BIG difference.
May GOD bless us all always!!!

AUTOCOLLAGE

I have passion for video making and editing. I inquired from the internet and I found this Microsoft Research AutoCollage 2008. But I don't know yet how to download trial version of the software...I am not a computer expert hahaha. I asked for Trinity's help. She found it and taught me how to download. Now, I am enjoying it. See sample autocollage pictures I made. Promise to make more of this soon...THANK YOU cousin TRINITY!!! I LOVE YOU.

RAMOS FAMILY CHATS....

For the first time, everybody seems to enjoy chatting thru yahoo messenger. Two days ago, I had a conference chatting with cousin Marichu from Texas, Ate Lody from Batangas, Phils., Janeth from Bulacan, Ledgie from Manila. It was funny that everyone was getting confused whom they are chatting to. It was a free for all conversation hahahaha. We were able to view Ate Marichu's webcam, mine and my sister Ledgie. It's very nice to connect with relatives even miles away. Trinity is having fun chatting with me. She promised to buy a webcam so we can see her. I am inviting my other cousins from Minesotta to join the fun and get connected with us here in the Philippines. It was a night of laughter....

ALL SAINT'S DAY...PHILIPPINES STYLE

This picture was taken last year, October 25 when I visited my Dad on his 44th death anniversary.

We observe All Saint's Day, November 01, today. It's a tradition here in the Philippines to visit our departed loved ones...offered prayers and flowers in their resting place. My cousins(children of Tita Marcela who passed away last May, 2008) were with us in the cemetery the whole day. I and my sister, Ledgie, left Manila at 4:00am today for an early trip to Bulacan to avoid heavy traffic. My cousin Vicky was so busy preparing the place with flowers and candles. It was so nice and we had lunch/snacks there. It was like a family picnic hehehe. We left the place before 5:00pm,... had my diner in our house in PINAOD, took my shower and left for Manila by 6:30pm. It was a good day for us spending few hours with our relatives who have gone ahead of us in a journey called LIFE!!!

I AM BACK....

I AM BACK...!!! I have stopped posting to my blog for the last few months. I was so busy... attending to different seminars and business conference related to my work. I also went to NUEVA VIZCAYA, a very far province north of Manila. It took 7 hours of driving alone...reached the place past midnight...stayed in a hotel. I have nothing with me except my medicine and an ATM card. I just bought my clothes there hahahaha. I went to BANAUE RICE TERRACES(you will all love this place) with the staff of the hotel just to accompany me coz I didn't know how to go there. And it was another 3 hours driving from the hotel. My family never knew that I went there. I was just texting my sister Malou that I was staying in my friend's house. I was out for 4 days. It was indeed a very unforgettable experience. I really...really enjoyed my adventures. I posted some of my pictures taken there. Related to my work..my bank is merging with another big bank owned by a very very rich businessman. He owns these two banks. And this will be causing us a lot of adjustments....paper works...system integration and...many more.

I went home to Bulacan last Saturday, October 25, to visit my Dad in his resting place because it was his 45th death anniversary. Before reaching my destination, I got this sad news that Tito Rudy, Trinity's Dad, passed away. He was staying in Bulacan for so many years after he left America. The whole week made me so busy communicating with Trinity...updating her from time to time...sending her latest pictures taken during the wake and funeral of his Dad. I went to Bulacan every other day from Oct. 25 - Nov. 01 equivalent to 4 trips in 8 days. And I loved what I was doing...
